London College of Business & AI Technology (LCBAT)

Professional Education & Continuing Professional Development

How the College intends to develop practice-oriented professional learning alongside its planned academic provision.

Current position. Professional education at LCBAT is in development. No professional course, certificate or diploma is open for enrolment, and nothing on this page is an offer of a place, a fee or a start date.

Our intention

Practice-oriented learning for working professionals.

LCBAT is developing a portfolio of practice-oriented professional education and continuing professional development across business, leadership, artificial intelligence, technology and related disciplines.

The educational approach is intended to rest on defined learning outcomes, structured curricula, applied learning, appropriate assessment and continuous improvement. These are the principles the College is working towards; the arrangements that put them into practice will be published here as they are confirmed.

Our educational approach

Areas of focus

Where professional learning may be developed.

These are the subject areas in which the College expects to develop professional learning. Their presence here does not mean that any programme exists or is available.

  1. Business and management

Strategy, operations, finance and the management of organisations.

  2. Leadership and executive development

Judgement, ethics and the leadership of people and change.

  3. Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies

How intelligent systems are evaluated, governed and applied.

  4. Digital transformation and data

Planning, governing and sustaining digital change and data capability.

  5. Cybersecurity and risk

Understanding and managing technology and organisational risk.

  6. Governance, sustainability and management systems

Structures, standards and accountability in organisations.

Structure of provision

Six proposed categories.

A clear structure helps learners and employers understand what a form of study is intended to be. These are proposed categories for future provision, not a list of offerings.

Professional Short Courses

Focused learning on a single subject or skill, intended for professionals who need to develop specific knowledge.

Proposed category. Not currently offered.

Professional Certificates

Structured study across a coherent group of topics in one field of professional practice.

Proposed category. Not currently offered.

Advanced Professional Certificates

Deeper study for experienced practitioners who are building on established knowledge.

Proposed category. Not currently offered.

Professional Diplomas

Extended, sequenced professional study, intended to build on earlier professional learning.

Proposed category. Not currently offered.

Executive Education

Learning designed for senior leaders and decision-makers, shaped around their responsibilities.

Proposed category. Not currently offered.

Continuing Professional Development

Learning activities intended to help professionals maintain and extend their expertise across a career.

Proposed category. Not currently offered.

Being precise

What these categories are not.

  • They are not academic degrees, and professional study is distinct from the College’s planned academic provision.
  • They are not described as regulated qualifications, and no qualification level, credit value or CPD time allocation is stated. Any such information will be given only when it is confirmed, with its source.
  • LCBAT does not claim CPD accreditation or approval, Ofqual recognition or degree-awarding powers.
  • If approval is ever granted to the College as a provider, that would not by itself mean that every learning activity it offers carries accreditation. Where an individual activity receives accreditation, that will be stated for that activity alone.

See the Legal and Regulatory Status page for the College’s position on recognition.

Academic provision

Kept distinct.

LCBAT plans to welcome its first academic learners in the 2027/28 academic year. Applications are not currently being accepted.

Professional education and the College’s planned academic provision are separate matters. Information about one should not be read as information about the other.
